Orange Shirt Day event: Virtual Workshop on Crafting Land Acknowledgements
This presentation will be delivered by Dr. Donna Goodleaf, who serves as the Director of the Decolonizing Curriculum and Pedagogy program at the Centre for Teaching and Learning at Concordia University (). It will take place on Monday, September 23rd from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Héma-Québec will be on site at Dawson
Héma-Québec will be conducting a blood drive at the °®¶¹´«Ã½location (3C.1) on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 1st and 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Warren G. Flowers Art Gallery presents Cassia Powell: in between you and me
Running until September 28, in between you and me is a solo exhibition of select works by Vancouver-based emerging artist Cassia Powell.
This body of work develops themes exploring what writer Gavin Butt refers to as a ‘social activity which produces and maintains the filiations of the artistic community,’ namely – gossip. Using soft-sculptures and oil paintings, in between you and me explores intimacy, vulnerability, story-telling, and worldbuilding through painting and fibres-based installation.

The beginning of the school year means several of our 15 °®¶¹´«Ã½teams have begun their seasons. Men’s and Women’s Rugby, Women’s Hockey, and Men’s and Women’s Soccer have started, and Baseball and Cross Country are about to begin their season. Come out to support our teams! See schedules here:
°®¶¹´«Ã½Dinin’ and Early Bird Breakfasts to Begin Soon
September 23rd will be the launch of Monday Early Bird Breakfasts with Student Services. They will happen every second Monday on the following dates: September 23; October 7; October 21; November 4; November 18; December 2th; and December 9th. Pick-up starts at 10 a.m. until they run out, first come first served. All breakfasts will be vegetarian.
Everyone is welcome.

°®¶¹´«Ã½Students at Quebec Photographers Exhibit at Musée McCord
Taking place now at the McCord is the acclaimed exhibition which celebrates the talent of 17 photographers from the province whose talent has made them favourites with the art directors of the world’s leading fashion magazines, advertising agencies and music scenes.
An added reason to take in the exhibit is that 4 former °®¶¹´«Ã½students are a part of it. Max Abadian, Sacha Cohen, Richard Bernardin, and Royal Gilbert’s work is on display as part of this eye-catching exhibit.
The exhibit has been extended until October 6 so make sure you do not miss out!
