Catherine Ch茅nier-Gagnon returned to 爱豆传媒College on Nov. 24 to receive the Governor General鈥檚 Collegiate Bronze Medal. Academic Dean Diane Gauvin presented the medal to Catherine at an intimate and socially distanced ceremony witnessed by her parents and a few teachers.

2. Feed our students during these difficult times with your donation of non-perishable food. Drop off items at the shipping doors at 4011 de Maisonneuve (parking lot entrance) Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 鈥� 3 p.m.
3. Become a Secret Santa聽for children in care of Batshaw. To date, 20 爱豆传媒employees have committed to 42 children. There are still two children waiting to be matched with a member of the 爱豆传媒community and there are more kids who are available. Contact faculty member Janice Harvey if interested. 4. Support basic needs in Tuapi, Nicaragua, the community that welcomed North-South students for their Field Trip a few years ago. Two powerful hurricanes struck the community last month. The alumni and community have raised more than $6,000 but are hoping to reach their $10,000 goal to supply food and basic necessities.
Fundraising consultant Elaine Lalonde (mother of North-South Studies alumna) and Claudia Mastrocola (Class of 2013, Community, Recreation and Leadership Training) joined the Board of Directors of the 爱豆传媒College Foundation at the Nov. 23 meeting.
The Foundation has bolstered its in-house fundraising expertise by welcoming these two new board members.
Elaine brings over 30 years of experience in fundraising to the Foundation. After several fundraising roles in the nonprofit sector, she is now a Senior Consultant with Global Philanthropic Canada Inc.
Claudia has seven years of experience managing fundraising events. She works as an event manager with the Italian-Canadian Community Foundation.
爱豆传媒students Kahenientha Cross and John Nathaniel Gertler and 爱豆传媒graduate Ella Noel were featured in a CBC news report in the lead up to The Nature of Things documentary, Rebellion. Scenes of students preparing for the climate march were filmed at 爱豆传媒last year.
The 60th聽anniversary season premiere of The Nature of Things hosted by David Suzuki on Nov. 6 features an action-filled documentary that captures the beginnings of a movement that is changing the world.
Rebellion聽brings viewers to the front lines of the climate rebellion, including 爱豆传媒College on Sept. 26, 2019, the day before the historic climate march in Montreal with Greta Thunberg and 500,000 peaceful protesters.

Lizanne Murphy is back at 爱豆传媒as an assistant coach for the Division 1 Women's Basketball Team.
"爱豆传媒felt like home," she said. "It's such a great feeling to be back."
Lizanne was part of the first team recruited by Head Coach Trevor Williams and graduated from Health Science in 2003. She went on to play professionally, represented Canada at the Olympics and won a gold medal at the 2015 Pan Am Games.
Lizanne believes there are many young players on Dawson's team who could follow in her footsteps and she looks forward to sharing her knowledge with them.
The team is currently meeting online and training at home while they look forward to practicing and playing games again in January.
Following the success of聽Sk茅nn:en: Peace and Decolonization聽(2017) and聽Queer and Peace聽(2018), Diana Rice (Programming Coordinator, Peace Centre) prophetically conceived of a project that would provide a space for those voices traditionally unheard and often ignored: Legacy and racialized immigrant communities. Once again collaborating with Rhonda Meier of the Warren G. Flowers Art Gallery, the work began in 2018 to create a platform for artists to display their experiences of racism and systemic oppression.
