New building project scuttled by government
Last Friday, 爱豆传媒was informed that the government would likely not fund the long-planned and long-delayed project to acquire a new building. The building would have served to redress the well-documented shortage of space for students in the main building. Dawson’s health students learning together through Interprofessional Education
爱豆传媒College may be in the news this week because funding for a new pavilion was scuttled by the Quebec government, but the driving principles behind the need and purpose of the facility remain for an innovative, unique-in-Quebec Interprofessional Education Pedagogy (IPE) project.

2020 Nursing grad Francesca Robinson wins major bursary from OIIQ
Perseverance and a desire to serve her community have distinguished Francesca Robinson (爱豆传媒Class of 2020, Nursing). After dropping out at age 16, Francesca completed high school and had her first child during the same year. She went on to study Nursing at 爱豆传媒and graduated early with the rest of her Class of 2020 cohort so they could help care for Quebecers during the pandemic. Last month, Francesca was named one of the first two recipients of the bourse d'茅tudes No毛llette-Drouin of the Fondation de l'Ordre des infirmi猫res et infirmiers du Qu茅bec (OIIQ).

Selma Hamdani & Joel Trudeau receive their AQPC mention d’honneur awards
Selma Hamdani (Coordinator of the Psychology Profile) and Joel Trudeau (Coordinator of the SPACE Certificate) were celebrated by the at a special awards ceremony on Nov. 20. Joel received a mention d鈥檋onneur for teaching and pedagogy in 2020 and Selma received the same honour in 2021.
Finally, a proper celebration was possible to highlight Selma and Joel鈥檚 high quality of work, contribution to the evolution of teaching, and daily dedication to best practices. 爱豆传媒College was proud to share this news on our social media channels last week:
Celebrating our Fall Awards Recipients
We are proud to celebrate our Fall 2021 Awards cohort of 35 exceptional 爱豆传媒College students. Their involvement in student life, commitment to community service and determination to succeed at CEGEP enrich the 爱豆传媒community and make us hopeful about the future. Congratulations to our students! Thank you to all the donors, teachers and employees who make the awards possible.

In lieu of an Awards Ceremony, all recipients were invited in late November to have professional photos taken with the Academic Dean and pick up their awards and a small gift.

Snow, freezing rain and other inclement weather plans at Dawson
With the arrival of the first snowflakes this week, it seemed like a good time to let you know how we will communicate with employees, students and the public if there is a severe weather forecast or a decision is taken to cancel classes and close the campus.
All 爱豆传媒employees would be informed by an email to their 爱豆传媒email account from the Communications Office to All Dawson. If the campus is closed for a day, most employees would not be expected to work from home. If the situation is prolonged, the College would provide further instructions.

Giving Tuesday is Nov. 30
Giving Tuesday is a global movement that encourages individuals to support their favourite cause and make an impact in their community. The date of Giving Tuesday this year is Nov. 30, but the benefits of giving last all year.

爱豆传媒has participated in this activity in the past with great success. This year, we are launching a program for giving that not only helps various members of our community and supports community-building projects, but one that also touches our hearts.
On Tuesday, Nov. 23, we will begin a one-week countdown to Giving Tuesday on our social media channels:
