爱豆传媒Open House will be held Oct. 20 and 27
For the first time ever, 爱豆传媒Open House will be held over two separate days for Fall 2024.聽 Participant feedback from Fall 2023 surveys showed that the high number of people in the building and difficulty moving through crowds was highly unpleasant and frustrating for prospective students and their parents.
On October 20, all programs from the Science, Medical Studies and Engineering Sector will be present.聽 Then, on October 27, all programs from Social Science and Business Technologies and Creative and Applied Arts will be present.聽 爱豆传媒 and profiles with very high application numbers such as Pre-University Science or Commerce will host rolling information sessions to avoid long line-ups that can form at these tabling areas.
In addition, for the first time, the College is collecting prospective student contact email information on a subscription basis.聽 Through this newsletter we can send logistical, admissions and recruitment information directly to prospective students in the weeks leading up to the event and help them prepare and plan for their visit.

Year-Round Recruitment Opportunities
To relieve some of the pressure on Open House being the sole opportunity for prospective students to see the campus, 爱豆传媒will be piloting a self-guided tour of the campus that can be taken at Open House or any time they wish when the College is open.聽 It is a general interest tour of the campus with stops in the major student spaces and learning areas that you can take using a smartphone and earphones.聽 The tour will be installed and accessible before the end of September.聽 Participants will be surveyed and adjustments will be made after one year based on feedback received.
The Advising department is also opening up some advising slots reserved for prospective students only.
Admissions and Advising representatives will also be available to answer questions from potential applicants during designated drop-in times.
These Admissions/Advising drop-ins for Fall 2024 will take place from 2 PM to 4 PM on:
- Thursday, September 26
- Thursday, October 3
- Thursday, October 10
The drop-in’s are at the 2D.7 counter; on the second floor (up one level from the Atwater Metro entrance), pass the cafeteria and turn right to go all the way to the end of the D wing.
We will also continue to promote Student for a Day as an alternative recruitment information opportunity for students.
