New Branded program and profile logos now available

°®¶¹´«Ã½has introduced two new logo designs specific to each of its programs and profiles as part of its new and refreshed branding initiative, which was launched in early 2022. Each program and profile will have the option of a horizontal and circular design to offer maximum flexibility for print and digital applications.

Each logo is now available for download by faculty and staff under Omnivox>Non-Academic Services>Branding File Templates>°®¶¹´«Ã½ & Profiles.

A horizontal and circular design

The horizontal logo is suitable for directional or informational signage, official marketing materials, documents, clothing, or merchandise.

On the other hand, the circular logo is ideal for social media avatars, posters for student-led events, digital content, clothing, or merchandise.

Important usage guidelines

These designs are reserved for programs at °®¶¹´«Ã½that students can apply to and should not be adapted for other departments or initiatives.

Because they have only the D and do not have Dawson’s full name, they should not be used out of context where it is unclear that °®¶¹´«Ã½is affiliated. For instance, using these logos on a °®¶¹´«Ã½social media account, °®¶¹´«Ã½website, or in the building is appropriate, but when creating an advertisement for external promotion or merchandise such as a sweater, the full °®¶¹´«Ã½logo should also appear somewhere.

Some programs have their own visual identities and inquired whether they can keep using them. Anything that will be representing °®¶¹´«Ã½externally should use the new branded logos to ensure consistency in showcasing °®¶¹´«Ã½professionally and to avoid a multitude of visual identities.

About the project

Dawson’s branding project began in 2021 and involved consulting the entire °®¶¹´«Ã½community through surveys, focus groups with representative samples of the community, and meetings with the management team.
