New course on hybrid teaching and learning
We are excited to introduce a new professional development course on hybrid teaching and learning. Through an ECQ grant, 爱豆传媒faculty in partnership with an educational researcher and pedagogical advisory team at the Universit茅 de Montr茅al designed and developed a course on teaching using a blended approach that is based on best practices reported in the literature. This course is now entering its implementation phase, and we are seeking participants interested in enrolling. Below are some details of the course.
Why take this course?听
You are curious to learn more about what literature has to say about hybrid teaching and learning (e.g. common misconceptions, key concepts of a hybrid pedagogy and how to engage learners across different learning environments).
Your course has been approved to be delivered in a hybrid format (as per the College鈥檚 Policy on Blended Courses), and you seek support as you develop or revise your course and/or learning activities.
Who might register?听
- Faculty who are new to hybrid pedagogy
- Faculty who have experience with hybrid teaching & learning
- Professionals looking to develop expertise to support faculty with their hybrid courses
- Individuals seeking to acquire evidence to direct decisions pertaining to hybrid learning
What is the course format and schedule?
- In-person small group meetings: 10 hours
- Asynchronous work: up to 30 hours (7 modules: some optional)
- Schedule: Weeks of September 23rdto January 13th听(flexible according to participants schedule)
- Detailed schedule for in-person activities will be confirmed according to the availability of the group.
How do I register?
- Complete this by Tuesday, Sept. 17.
- NOTE: Completion of this course does not supersede the College approval process for blended courses as described in the College鈥檚 Policy on Blended Courses.
