470 Million Year-old Fossils at 爱豆传媒College
This photo of fossils was taken on听one听of the听many limestone blocks making up the听Dawson College听foundation on the D wing.听The rocks are听补辫辫谤辞虫颈尘补迟别濒测听470 million years听old and were formed听before there were dinosaurs or even听尘补苍测听plants on land. Present–day Montreal was a warm shallow sea closer to the equator听迟丑别苍.听These fossilized听shells were branchiopods,听now extinct but very common animals听of the past.听These brachiopods were probably swept into a shallow area by waves or a current and quickly covered by silt and preserved.听
